Federal fibre-optic network

We deployed with 34,500 kilometers of optical fiber, a transport network with more than 90% Active, providing broadband Internet to more than 1,000 locations throughout the country. We connect local providers, who are in charge of providing the last-mile service.

Since 2010, we have implemented the Federal Fiber Optic Network (REFEFO), increasing the quality and extension of broadband throughout the country. It has 34,500 kilometers deployed, with the corresponding technological support installed, connecting more than 1,000 locations throughout the country.

Federal fibre-optic network

Our network is composed of a federal backbone, organized in thirteen geographic regions, and interconnected provincial networks. This network is in charge of transporting IP traffic between the provincial access points and the national access point, the KM 0, in the National Data Center of the Benavídez Ground Station.

We reach the nodes in each town, whose high-speed Internet access is limited. From there, we connect to local providers, mainly SMEs and telecommunications cooperatives, who are in charge of providing the last mile service, that is, reaching the final consumer.
